The Casio AMW-320 utilizing the 358 movement module is a highly coveted, vintage analog-digital dive watch originally released in the late 1980s.

Known affectionately by watch collectors as the Casio "Arnie", this specific iteration is famous for its distinct case design and massive pop-culture footprint

The Casio AMW-320 is a legendary, vintage analogue-digital diver watch famous for its "Arnie" nickname, earned because Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger wore it in several of his major movies throughout the late 1980s and 1990s.

🎬 The Hollywood Connection
Arnold Schwarzenegger famously wore variants of this watch line in four different films:
  • Kindergarten Cop (1990)
  • Last Action Hero (1993)
  • True Lies (1994) (the black-dial variant)
  • Jingle All the Way (1996) (the white/champagne-dial variant)
⚙️ Core Specifications & Features
First introduced by Casio in 1989 to replace the AQ-600W, it remains a highly collectible "tool watch" due to its ruggedness and distinct retro aesthetic:
  • Case Size: Large 44mm to 46mm stainless steel case. Despite its size, it features short lugs, allowing it to wear comfortably even on smaller wrists.
  • Lug Width: 22mm watch strap fitting.
  • Display: Ana-digi combo featuring standard analogue hands alongside a small, rectangular LCD window at the bottom of the dial.
  • Water Resistance: 100 metres (10 ATM).
  • Functions: Bidirectional rotating countdown/diver bezel, digital daily alarm, chronograph (stopwatch), and dual-time capability.

Collectors categorize the AMW-320 primarily by its button layout and internal quartz module:

  • AMW-320C (Early Generation, Module 358): Produced starting in 1989. These highly sought-after, Japanese-cased versions are easily recognized by their offset pusher layout, featuring one button at the 20-minute mark and another at the 40-minute mark on the sides of the case.
  • AMW-320D / AMW-320R (Later Generations, Modules 1374 / 2701): Produced through the 1990s and 2000s. These versions switched to a symmetrical layout where both pushers sit directly opposite each other on the left side of the watch case. They came in black, white, and a highly popular sunburst gold/champagne dial finish
