The Casio AW-700 is a rare, highly collectible vintage analog-digital watch originally released by Casio in the late 1980s (circa 1987–1989).
Powered by the Casio Module 376, it is highly regarded by vintage watch collectors as an early, innovative "Alti-Depth" timepiece that incorporated both an altimeter and a depth sensor into a single wrist unit.
Key Specifications & Features
- Dual Display: It combines a traditional analogue three-hand dial with a digital LCD window at the bottom of the face to manage sensor readouts and tracking.
- Alti-Depth Sensors: The standout attribute of this watch is its physical sensor block, allowing it to measure altitude changes for climbing and water depth for diving or swimming.
- Dimensions: It features a stainless steel case with a case diameter of approximately 40 mm.
- Build Quality: Unlike many entry-level digital lines, it features a rugged stainless steel case back and body, proudly stamped with "Made in Japan".
- Water Resistance: Rated for 100 metres (10 ATM), making it historically capable of handling recreational water activities.
