The Casio CMD-40 (powered by Module 1174) is an iconic, highly collectible vintage digital wristwatch originally released in late 1992.

Fusing 90s geek-culture with utility, it is universally celebrated as the most successful model in Casio's "Wrist Remote Controller" line-up

• Infrared Remote Control: Features a prominent infrared (IR) transmitter lens positioned at the top of the dome-shaped case. It includes pre-programmed codes to control vintage TVs and VCRs, as well as a learning function capable of copying IR commands from modern remotes (allowing it to still control basic functions on many modern TVs, stereos, or air conditioners).
• 8-Digit Calculator: Restored the iconic front-facing tactile keypad missing from some other remote models. The color-coded keys pull double duty for mathematical equations and dedicated video layout controls (Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward). 
• Timekeeping Functions: Equipped with standard daily alarms, an hourly time signal, a 24-hour split-second chronograph (stopwatch), and flexible 12/24-hour formats.
