A museum piece
The Casio VL-10 (released in 1982) is famous for being one of the smallest commercial electronic synthesiser keyboards ever made.
It was a highly downsized, pocket-sized version of the popular Casio VL-1 "VL-Tone", housed inside a slim, silver aluminium case designed to look exactly like a pocket calculator.
- Keyboard: 29 tiny membrane note buttons (keys).
- Polyphony: Monophonic (plays only one note at a time).
- Built-in Sounds: 3 preset electronic beepy tones.
- Rhythms: 10 pre-loaded drum rhythm loops with tempo control.
- Sequencer: A built-in step sequencer that can record up to 100 notes.
- Dual Function: Includes a fully functional standard pocket calculator.
Because they were manufactured in much smaller numbers than the standard VL-1, they are now rare and highly sought after by vintage tech collectors and lo-fi music enthusiasts on marketplaces
