Notable Models & Tech History
- Commodore LED Time Master (1975–1976): This was Commodore's most successful and iconic watch series. Because LED displays heavily drained batteries, the screen remained blank until you pressed a button to display the time. It featured a built-in magnifying glass over the LEDs to save cost while enlarging the numbers.
- Commodore LCD Models (1977–1980s): Recognizing that Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) consumed far less power, Commodore shifted technology and acquired Micro Display Systems Inc. in 1979 to expand production. These models featured "always-on" displays, calendars, and later added features like multi-melody alarms
