Key Specifications & Design
- Dimensions: Approximately 36mm case width, 41mm lug-to-lug, and a substantial, chunky 14.6mm thickness that gives it immense 1970s wrist presence.
- Case & Material: Solid, heavy, unpolished blocks of stainless steel. The case is intentionally slanted downward toward the wearer to improve screen legibility at a natural viewing angle.
- Bracelet: The original stainless steel flat five-link bracelet (frequently designated as the B223 or B223S) includes an adjustable, micro-adjusting clasp signed with the "Seiko Quartz"
- Display: A six-digit field-effect Liquid Crystal Display (LC) displaying hours, minutes, continuous seconds, and an AM/PM indicator. Some variations from this era feature the famous "lemon" tint or a distinct split-window aesthetic.
