The Casio C-801 is a historically significant, highly collectible calculator watch released by Casio in 1980.

Powered by the iconic QW133 module, it belongs to the pioneering family of early digital wrist calculators that came to define 1980s tech culture

Core Specifications & Features

  • Direct Finger Entry: Following the ground-breaking Casio C-80, the C-801 featured a 20-button front keypad designed for direct fingertip entry. It completely eliminated the annoying necessity of using a stylus, pen, or pin to press the buttons.
  • The Display: It utilizes an 8-digit calculator function, though the physical LCD panel displays six digits simultaneously.
  • Timekeeping Suite: It offers 12/24 hour time formatting, a dual-time mode, a stopwatch, a micro-light, and an automatic calendar. (Note: The calendar system on the original module was programmed to function until 1999).
  • Design Variations: Constructed with a chrome-plated front case and a stainless steel backing, it was widely distributed with a matching silver-tone stainless steel linked bracelet. A black variant (C-801-1) was also manufactured
