The Casio JC-11 "Jog & Walk Calorie" is a highly sought-after, early health-tracking digital wristwatch.
Originally released by Casio in 1988, this vintage piece features the iconic 880 module and a distinct physical design with "bullhead" top-edge buttons and prominent front stopwatch buttons.
The "Made in Japan" version (often designated by a "JAPAN T" mark on the stainless steel case back) is particularly prized by collectors, though Casio also manufactured some variants of this model in Korea.
Key Technical Specifications & Features

  • The "Running Man" Display: Features a dual-line LCD screen with a charming, animated dot-matrix character that mimics jogging or walking paces.
  • Fitness Tracking: Tracks steps, distance, pace (via audio beeps), and maps total exercise time.
  • Calorie Calculator: Computes an estimate of burned calories based on customizable user parameters like weight, age, and stride length.
  • Core Hardware: Built with a resin round case, acrylic glass, and a stainless steel case back. It came factory-rated for 50 metres (5 bar) of water resistance, though this shouldn't be relied upon in vintage examples today.
  • Standard Functions: Includes a daily alarm, an hourly time signal, calendar data, and a standalone 1/100-second stopwatch.
